Status and dependencies

When you select a solution content item, the first thing you usually see is the Status tab displaying the result of the latest processing of the item.

Here you have some link buttons at the top:

  • History
  • Log
  • Dependent On
  • Used By
  • Override Status

History

The history form displays the content items operation log content.

Status, Process started and Process ended are among the fields that might be of interest.

History form - Command Buttons

View Log

Displays the message log for the selected operation log item. TaskID + ContentID is the filter applied. This functionality is especially useful if the user wants to view historical processing logs for content items.

Show / Hide

Shows or hides the Editor panes. 

Log

The "Latest Processing Log" form displays the content items latest processing log.

The Search option allows you to search the entire log for the keyword(s) entered.

Show Details

Click to show the details of a log entry in a separate dialog box.

Copy to Clipboard

Copy to Clipboard allows you to copy the log entry to clipboard so it can be pasted as text into any editor. Copy Entire Log will copy all log entries in the entire log.

Dependent On

The "Dependent On" form displays the content that the current item depends on.

By double clicking the prerequisite item(s) in the dependency list you can navigate without closing the dialog box.

Used By

The "Used by" form displays the content that uses the current item.

By double clicking the consuming item in the dependency list you can navigate without closing the dialog box.

Override Status

The "Override Status" form allows you to manually set the status of the item to either OK, Warning or Error.
